An adaptation of of Heidi Swanson's recipe with our Cardamom Clove Syrup! @heidijswanson
3/4 cup steel cut oats
1/2 cup slices almonds
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
3/4 cup peeled and chopped apple
2 cups milk
1/4 cup Cardamom-Clove Organic Syrup
1 large egg
3 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
Preheat over to 375
In an 8 inch baking dish mix together oats, nuts, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
Scatter apples evenly over the oat mixture
In a separate bowl whisk together the milk, Cardamom-Clove syrup, egg, and butter.
Slowly pour the milk mixture on top of the oats.
Gently tap the baking dish on the counter top to make sure the liquid moves down through the oats.
Bake for 55-60 minutes or until top is golden or oats are set.
