Blackberry Sour

From our friend @cocktailwitchnyc

"Blackberries are one of my favorites to eat, I could sit and eat them all straight from the box before they ever make it to my fridge... Nothing makes me look forward to the weather warming up like the taste of fresh berries. I grew up going to Vermont in the summers, and one of my favorite things to do was go berry picking. My grandmother has a few luscious bushes outside her house and I was constantly scolded for sneaking out to pick the berries (she saves them to make jam every year- and trust me it’s worth it)."

BLACKBERRY SOUR:
-1oz blackberry whiskey
-1oz bourbon
-1/2oz blackberry simple syrup
-3/4oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
-1/4oz yuzu juice
-egg white
-splash of soda water to top
Garnish: fresh flowers

In a shaker, add all ingredients except soda and dry shake for 15-20 seconds. Add ice and shake again for 2-3 minutes- you should hear the sound of the ice shaking around change as the foam builds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and add a splash of club soda to bring the foam to the top of the glass. Garnish with fresh flowers. Enjoy!
